Direct Property Fund Limited (Direct Property) is an unlisted company designed and managed to represent, as close a surrogate to direct property ownership as possible. The performance of the fund is directly linked to the performance of the property portfolio.

Investors in Direct Property include people who:

1. Have looked at investing directly in commercial property, however have found that the market is extremely competitive and that their investment funds will only extend to one, or possibly two properties. This results in exposure to a single property sector with perhaps only one or two tenants;
    
2. Have considered an investment in property via the share market but feel that an investment in a listed property company, whilst providing some property exposure is not a pure-play property investment.

Direct Property is managed by DPF Management Limited (DPFM). The shareholders of DPFM collectively hold 6.3% of the shares in Direct Property Fund Limited itself, thus aligning their interests with those of the other shareholders.
